Niravam Dosage
Niravam is suggested for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder in adults with an initial dose ranging from 0.25 mg to 0.5 mg taken three times daily. This dosage may be adjusted incrementally every 3 to 4 days, with a maximum prescribed daily dosage of 4 mg dispersed throughout the day.

Niravam is available in a variety of dose forms and strengths, most notably as scored orally disintegrating tablets. The strengths available are 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1.0 mg, and 2.0 mg.
Niravam Interaction
Niravam may interact with sedative medications such as cold or allergy medicine, narcotic analgesics, sleep aids, muscle relaxants, and drugs used to treat seizures, depression, or anxiety. Interactions with birth control pills, cimetidine, diltiazem, isoniazid, propoxyphene, seizure medicines, antifungal drugs, and antidepressants are also possible.
