Hypertension is treated using this drug. Its main role is to lower blood pressure, reducing strokes, myocardial infarctions, and renal problems. Diuretics “water pills,”—include hydrochlorothiazide. It increases urine output to eliminate excess salt and water.

This drug also reduces edema from congestive heart failure, hepatic disease, and renal impairment. Lower extremity dyspnea and peripheral edema are relieved by this action.

How to use
